I noticed the same thing on my publication as well. It’s clearly a bug — but what’s worrying is that it isn’t an edge case but a rather common use case for Medium publications. Makes one a bit concerned about the software development practices being employed, given that this made it through QA/testing of the faulty release without being noticed. I write code for a living and if this happened at my shop, the post-mortems would continue well into the night. Hopefully that’s happening at Medium too.
