Haiku is one of my favourite poetry forms and I have been publishing them across Medium for the past few months. Here are some of my favourites, all collected together in one place for your extended reading pleasure.

kids

kids in the playground.
if they’re not covered in mud
what’s the point, really?

americano

a morning coffee
black, bitter, dash of sugar
life waiting in froth.

vacuum

empty suitcases,
vacuum from worlds forgotten,
and lives left behind.

soup

thick molten lava
thawing the ice in my bones.
tomato soup. yum!

roses

snow in the garden,
melting tears on rose petals.
wilted memories.

femme fatale

leaves under her heels
torn into slivers and shards.
hearts fear the same fate.

denial

ancient timekeepers
dying at the hands of man.
global warming. meh.
