Thank you for writing this — it was a great read. These are lessons in history that we must consider in the present society as well. I wish the technocrats of today would also stand back a moment to consider the potential ill-effects of what they are creating in the name of invention/innovation and actively work towards mitigating them instead of allowing to propagate simply by their inaction.
