What were the other tags on that article? You might find one of the other tags matches something you clapped for recently or you put that tag yourself on one of your own stories. Not the primary tag, but one of the five. At least I’m finding that happening on the weird stuff that shows up for me. I recently had this article about “software programming code reviews” come up in my “You might like” feed and I was amazed. Then I went digging and realised one of its tags was “Collaboration” and I had put that tag on one of my recent one-line poetry prompts for Chalkboard. The problem is simply that Medium algorithms are a bit simplistic and rely on tags too much, which can mean different things in different contexts.
